Hi, I am Katie, the globetrotting creator of “The Earthy Traveler.” If you are somebody who enjoys adventurous, outdoorsy, cultural, affordable travel, you have come to the right spot!

 My friends and family have been telling me to write a travel blog for years, but I always thought I’d leave that for the actual experts. Well, now that I’ve been traveling the world for almost 20 years and have visited more than 20 countries, I’ve come to learn what a lot of travel blogs are missing. They often focus on the very touristy activities, which I do love (and will write about some of them)! But sometimes, the most cultural experiences and memorable moments are hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
